Henkel opens factory for Bref toilet-care products in Serbia
Henkel Serbia opened a Bref factory in Kruševac, Serbia, to produce Bref toilet-care products that will be supplied to more than 20 regional and European markets. The investment in the Eastern European country is worth almost 30 million euros.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić noted that the new factory is of great significance for the city of Kruševac and for Serbia's domestic market in general because it strengthens the economic potential of the region. The new factory is creating more than 200 new jobs and is a proof that German companies recognize Serbia as an attractive business place.
‟The new Bref factory is a project of great importance for Henkel, both in Serbia and on regional and global levels. The investment in the new factory aims to support further development of our business, combining global expertise with local knowledge,” said Bruno Piacenza, Executive Vice President and responsible for Henkel's Laundry and Home Care business.
‟Henkel has been successfully operating in Serbia for more than 12 years and has invested more than 160 million euro in the Serbian market so far,” said Vojkan Marić, plant manager at Henkel Kruševac. „This investment is a proof of the strategic role of our Kruševac factory and we are very proud to be able to create new workplaces, which is something we will strive toward in the future.”
