Eurovision Song Contest 2016

Schwarzkopf is the beauty partner of the Eurovision Song Contest

Schwarzkopf is a partner of the Eurovision Song Contest for the sixth time this year. With millions of fans expected to follow the international music event in Stockholm this weekend, the artists’ hairstyles need to be as spectacular as the show and the musical performances themselves.

As partner of the Eurovision Song Contest, Schwarzkopf is responsible for the artists’ hairstyling and will also play an active role at various backstage events throughout the week in Stockholm. It’s an exciting mission for the Beauty Care experts at Henkel, because this is not just about working on the most-watched musical event in the world: The many artists from different countries taking part also mean that various individual needs and styles will have to be catered to.

“We will support the artists with a team of experienced styling experts who will help them to achieve the desired look for their performance. It is our job to make sure that their hair looks perfect,” says Klas Bellinder, responsible for Schwarzkopf Professional, which handles the styling on set.

“Schwarzkopf has been a loyal partner to the Eurovision Song Contest for a number of years and we are delighted to welcome them back in 2016. Schwarzkopf is one of Europe’s top brands and through this partnership we will be able to showcase another round of sparkling performances,” says Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
