As the global leader for adhesives, sealants and functional coatings Henkel already supplies a broad portfolio of customized solutions. Brabus applies a variety of cleaners, adhesives and sealants from Henkel´s Loctite und Teroson brands for all areas of engine tuning and small-series production – starting from silicone sealants for oil pans up to solutions for glass bonding.
The Henkel solutions need to fulfill demanding requirements. “Particularly components that cannot be seen often play an important role when it comes to the longevity of an engine. Loctite products can withstand even the harshest conditions, making them indispensable for high-performance power trains,” explained Brabus.

Up to now the companies partnered mostly in the area of plastic repairs. In the future Brabus will use Henkel products also for all of its engines and gear boxes. The high-performing materials enable optimal sealing quality as well as the secure fastening of car body parts.

Henkel Key Account Manager Björn Wesch is looking forward to the closer cooperation. “High-performance automobiles, like the supercars from Brabus, place very high demands on our products,” he said. “But we don’t just see ourselves as a supplier: The developments in this area are constantly advancing, and Brabus’ high level of standards and expertise will help us take our Loctite and Teroson products to the next level.”

Brabus will provide insights into the world of car tuning and classic automobiles during the Essen Motor Show in Germany from November 26 to December 7.
