The Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council honors Henkel with prestigious recognition

Henkel receives Corporation of the Year Award

In recognition of its continued commitment to diversity, the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council (PSWMSDC) presented Henkel with the 2016 Pacific Southwest MSDC Corporation of the Year award at the 35th annual Awards Gala and Business Exchange held recently in Scottsdale, Ariz. The PSWMSDC Awards event recognizes outstanding growth, performance, and contributions within the Minority Supplier Development business community. The theme of this year’s event was “Excellence in Diversity.“

“We are thrilled to receive this acknowledgement of our commitment to excellence in supplier diversity,“ said Bjork Ohlhorst, Senior Vice President of Procurement for Henkel. “The award demonstrates the tremendous capability of our team, and we thank the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council for this prestigious and distinguished recognition. We look forward to building on this even further.“

As part of diversity supplier efforts, Henkel is actively involved in MBE (minority business enterprise) mentoring, which includes guiding, coaching and providing encouragement to suppliers as well as engaging in relevant conversations at opportunity fairs. Information sessions are also held regularly to further educate potential suppliers on ways to do business with Henkel.

“Henkel realizes the critical role diversity plays in the marketplace,“ added Angela Curley, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Henkel. “We are honored by Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council‘s acknowledgement of our efforts around diverse suppliers and will continue to promote diverse spending and recruiting as an intergral part of our business strategy.“
