Industry leader at Oekom

In the Corporate Responsibility Review 2017 by Oekom Research, Henkel was ranked as the best company in the Household & Personal Products category. The assessment is based on the Oekom Corporate Rating, in which Henkel received the top grade in its category and prime status once more. The Oekom Research assessment of the social and environmental performance of a company is carried out using more than 100 social and environmental criteria, selected specifically for each industry.

Gold-Rating by EcoVadis

As a member of the “Together for Sustainability” initiative for a more sustainable supply chain, Henkel’s sustainability management was again analyzed by the international rating agency EcoVadis in 2017, who rewarded Henkel with the “Gold Recognition Level”. Henkel thereby is among the top 1 percent of the most sustainable companies worldwide – both in the household and personal-care category and in comparison to all evaluated companies.

Repeated listings by Ethibel and ECPI

The listing of Henkel in the Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe and the Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Global has been reconfirmed. The repeated inclusion in these indices recognizes Henkel’s consistent commitment towards sustainability.

Henkel’s ambition to further expand its leading role in sustainability is embedded in its corporate values. The awards emphasize the strong foundation of the company and confirm its success in the area of sustainability. As the company moves towards its long-term goal of “Factor 3”, Henkel continues its efforts to further improve its performance in these areas in the coming years.
