At the Annual General Meeting of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA on April 24, 2023, the shareholders approved all agenda items. A total of about 88 percent of the voting capital stock was represented. For the first time since April 2019, the Annual General Meeting was again held as an attendance event at the CCD-Stadthalle in Düsseldorf.

Henkel has signed an agreement on the sale of its business activities in Russia to a consortium of local financial investors. In April 2022, the company had announced the decision to exit from Russia.

As one of the global leaders in adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings, Henkel offers a broad portfolio for maintenance, repair, and overhaul ‏(MRO) in more than 800 industry segments. Based on long-standing expertise across the MRO markets, the Adhesive Technologies business unit is continuously driving smart maintenance solutions to create even more value for its customers. Therefore, Henkel introduced Loctite Pulse in 2021, which offers data-enabled technologies for enhancing existing maintenance processes and increasing plant safety, productivity, sustainability, and uptime. With Loctite Pulse Smart Steam Trap, the company now has launched a further innovative solution to this growing smart maintenance portfolio.

The lower the temperature, the higher the impact: Henkel has developed an innovative low temperature cleaner for aluminum beverage cans that will soon be available globally.  When used in traditional spray systems, Bonderite C-IC 72000 series cleans at a lower temperature, reducing natural gas use and in turn, lowering the plant’s carbon footprint. Results will vary from plant to plant based on their processes, however during a recent trial, a customer reduced their natural gas use which contributed to a 38% reduction in their carbon emissions.

As a global leader in automotive adhesives, sealants, thermal materials and functional coatings, Henkel Adhesive Technologies is proud to be returning to the Battery Show Europe – held in Stuttgart, Germany from May 23-25. Visitors to the Henkel booth ‏(Hall 10, Stand G10) can learn more about leading-edge battery safety materials, thermal interface materials, adhesives and sealants, dielectric coatings, and conductive electrode coatings. As well as presenting solutions for the manufacture of safer, longer-lasting and higher performing batteries, Henkel is focusing improving sustainability, through debondable adhesives that facilitate repair, re-use and recyclability. Henkel Adhesive Technologies will present its range of sustainable and safe packaging solutions at METPACK from May 2 to 6 in Essen, Germany. At stand 1C38 in hall 1, visitors will get insights into resource-efficient, energy-saving surface treatment solutions, coatings and sealants.

Henkel has launched a unique synthetic lubricant for automotive manufacturers that drives down the costs and environmental impact of forging. Ideal for use on automotive forming applications such as bearings, wheel hubs, small gears and slip yokes, Bonderite L-FG F 605 is a graphite-free non-pigmented forging lubricant that provides an excellent lubrication film. With similar performance to graphite, it reduces die degradation from metal-to-metal contact to significantly extend die life. Thanks to its graphite-free formulation, Bonderite L-FG F 605 eliminates ammonia emissions for safer, more sustainable workplaces.

Henkel has officially opened its “J-beauty innovation hub” in Tokyo. The hub for the Hair Professional business will leverage the long-standing expertise of Schwarzkopf and Shiseido Professional in hair color innovation and trends as well as premium hair and scalp care, anti-hair loss, styling, and perm solutions.
