During the upcoming LOPEC trade show on March 6 and 7 in Munich, Henkel will display its functional material innovations for printed electronics solutions for various industry applications. At booth 607 in hall B0, the company will focus on its material formulation expertise in smart living, mobility, and sustainability, underlined by different demo parts and material samples for smart surfaces, smart healthcare, and antenna solutions. In addition to its material solution portfolio for printed electronics, Henkel will highlight its development capabilities supported by its broad ecosystem of partners. 

Henkel, a global leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, today has announced the construction of its first integrated innovation and technology center in Latin America, located in Jundiaí, Sao Paulo. The new center aims to create a collaborative ecosystem for developing innovations and solutions for the Adhesive Technologies business unit, as well as being a hub for training, capacity building and interaction with customers and partners in the region.

Henkel announced today that its phase change thermal interface material ‏(TIM), Bergquist Hi Flow THF 5000UT, was recognized by the 2024 Lightwave Innovation Reviews. Now in its 11th year, this prestigious program enlists experienced optical communications industry experts to evaluate new products for their innovative contributions to fiberoptics and optoelectronics applications. Henkel earned an honoree distinction with its Bergquist Hi Flow THF 5000UT, which received a high score in the communications, semiconductors, and electrical ICs category.

For the third time, Henkel presents its research prize, the ”Martha Schwarzkopf Award for Women in Science”, dedicated to supporting female scientists. Alongside the main prize, with first and second place for life-long contribution in hair science, an additional prize for “Emerging Talents” will again be awarded this year. The application period begins on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Henkel today announced the commercialization of Loctite Stycast CC 8555, a conformal coating designed to protect electronics in extreme environments. This addition to the company’s conformal coating portfolio delivers printed circuit board ‏(PCB) and sensitive component protection in challenging, high-power applications such as motor drives, PLCs, EV charging infrastructure, AC/DC power supplies, and other high-voltage electronics.

As a leading manufacturer of advanced adhesive solutions for the medical industry, Henkel has introduced two next-generation medical grade, cyanoacrylates-based instant adhesives that offer improved safety and performance. The new products are formulated without CMR ‏(Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Reproductively hazardous) ingredients and are designed to offer increased strength during and after heat cycling. Loctite 4011S and Loctite 4061S are designed to meet the specifications of Loctite 4011 and 4061 for easier validation in existing medical applications.

Henkel’s business unit Henkel Consumer Brands recognized its top suppliers for their industry-leading performance in 2023 with an award ceremony. The event took place at the American Cleaning Institute Convention in Orlando, Florida, on 29 January with more than 200 participants. The top partners were awarded in three categories: Evonik was honored with the “Sustainability Award”. DSM-Firmenich, Ashland and BASF received each a “Best Innovation Contributor Award”. The winner of the “Supply Resilience Award” was Shell.

Starting in 2024, Henkel will implement a new gender-neutral parental leave standard for its about 50,000 employees worldwide. The company will offer parents up to eight weeks of fully paid parental leave, based on the caregiver role, rather than their gender or biological parent status. This demonstrates a firm commitment to equity, promoting equal parenting and childcare for all parents, including adoptive, foster, surrogacy, and LGBTQ+ parents.
