In collaboration with the Fritz Henkel Stiftung charity foundation, #HairdressersUnited brought together some of the world's biggest hair and beauty care professionals under one digital roof, in a celebration of solidarity with the hairdressing industry.

Three major suppliers in electronics assembly materials, MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Henkel, and Heraeus, received notice that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued Patent No. US10376994B2 for their innovative solder alloy formulation marketed under the brand names Innolot ‏(Heraeus & Alpha) and Loctite 90ISC ‏(Henkel). The patent was granted an extended expiration to June 11, 2029.

When it comes to the overall recyclability of a packaging, the choice of packaging substrates is typically being discussed. As a leader in adhesives and coatings for the packaging industry, Henkel is committed to actively support a circular economy by working closely with their partners to develop solutions that are both sustainable and functional. After launching its RE range that is “designed for recycling” last year, the company is now expanding the range with Loctite Liofol HS 2809-22 RE. The heat seal coating, which is certified for its recyclability with paper, redefines how packaging can be designed.

Three major suppliers in electronics assembly materials, MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Henkel, and Heraeus, jointly filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Senju Metal Industry Co., Ltd., Senju Metal Europe GmbH and Senju Manufacturing Europe S.R.O. in the district court Frankfurt.

Together with six medical and technology companies Henkel has developed an innovative smart health patch that allows continuous, remote and wireless monitoring of the respiration, heart rate and soon also temperature of patients. The product – initially set up to monitor the vital functions of patients with heart failure and epilepsy – will soon be tested for the use of monitoring coronavirus patients in a Belgian hospital. The partners aim to further roll-out the technology over the next month to respond to a potential new coronavirus surge in autumn.

Nexa3D recently joined Henkel’s Open Materials Platform with the goal of expanding the capabilities of its ultrafast production stereolithography technology. Together, the companies are combining their skills and expertise to further scale improvements in industrial additive manufacturing.
