Food Safe Packaging

Modern product packaging would be impossible to imagine without adhesives. Henkel’s experts in adhesive technologies supply packaging that is not only bonded strongly, but that also provide the highest possible degree of food safety.

Safety in food packaging

The safety of food packaging is under increasing scrutiny. The range of applications for adhesives in food packaging covers everything from breakfast cereal boxes and packaging for frozen food through to glossy potato chip packets and foil and film pouches for perishable goods like meat and cheese. Henkel’s specialists use their expert knowledge to help ensure that producers are able to deliver the maximum level of safety in their packaging operations.

Henkel regards itself as partner for food producers and packaging manufacturers, and supports them with a wide range of solutions. Working closely with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Henkel has launched an initiative to support the fight against global food wastage. The initiative aims of to provide decision-makers in the food industry with a source of essential information on the subject of food safety.

Henkel offers information through several channels, with its newly created website providing a central focus point.
