About this Position

As a Transport Planner Specialist, you will play a vital role in streamlining our logistics operations by planning and optimizing transport orders across multiple modes—sea, air, road, and express. Your expertise will not only ensure efficient shipment processing but also enhance collaboration with key stakeholders, including Japanese-speaking partners and teams. You will be part of a dynamic logistics team committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you will collaborate closely with carriers, warehouses, and customer service representatives to identify areas for optimization and implement innovative solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead critical transport execution and improvement projects that elevate our service performance on both a country and regional level, making a significant impact on our operational success. Your contributions will help us navigate the complexities of global transportation, ensuring we meet our objectives with precision and reliability.

What you´ll do

  • Plan, optimize, and execute transport orders across sea, air, road, and express modes using Transport Management Systems
  • Manage end‑to‑end shipment processing, including bulk planning, order execution, and resolution of system errors to ensure accurate data transmission
  • Coordinate closely with carriers, warehouses, customer service teams, and local transport coordinators, including Japanese‑speaking stakeholders
  • Support dispute and exception management, including freight cost corrections and KPI/SLA monitoring
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing operational and cost‑optimization initiatives
  • Provide analytical, operational, and administrative support to daily transport operations and logistics projects
  • Lead or contribute to transport execution and improvement projects at country and regional levels, ensuring optimal cost and service performance

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's Degree in any course; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Engineering is a plus
  • Minimum of one (1) year related work experience in Logistics, Transport Planning ; Preferably obtained in Shared Services Industry Shared Services Center (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or Business process outsourcing (BPO) industry
  • Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or N2), with strong verbal and written communication skills, is required
  • Knowledgeable in SAP, and Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Skills in PowerBI, Power Automate, SQL, and other automation tools is highly preferred
  • Must be a team player, with great attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and strong organizational skills; With high attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage and analyze large volumes of data
  • Amenable to work on a day-shift schedule (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM), and report on a hybrid work set-up in Ayala Avenue, Makati
