About this Position


What you´ll do

  • Conduct laboratory experiments based on different organic chemistry e.g. polyurethane and related systems
  • Develop and optimize adhesive, primer and coating formulations for different wood applications
  • Prepare specimens, test and document the results according to relevant standards and norms
  • Drive digitalization initiatives in laboratory testing, workflows and data management
  • Perform literature and patent research to identify emerging technologies and innovation opportunities
  • Translate scientific findings into actionable product concepts and development strategies
  • Scale up laboratory formulations and support technology transfer to multiple production sites
  • Lead critical R&D projects and collaborate across PD, application engineering, production, sales and customers while ensuring safe, compliant, and increasingly digital operations

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in adhesives, polyurethane chemistry, surface chemistry, flame retardant technology or wood science welcome
  • Motivated in lab work and analytical methods, proficient in literature and patent research, and confident using modern digital lab tools
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, take initiative, solve problems effectively, and stay open‑minded to explore new approaches
  • Show curiosity for personal development, conceptual thinking, and taking responsibility within teams and global stakeholder environments
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
