What you´ll do

  • Monitor the Sulfonation operations to ensure that it complies with the quality and safety standards.
  • Supervise effective working of production and ensure compliance with all company & local policies to achieve all production objectives and provide appropriate feedback to all employees.
  • Builds safe, clean and positive working atmosphere.
  • Promote safe and healthy production environment and perform safe work practices always.
  • Ensure each member of staff meets the assigned production targets daily. Conduct shift meetings to ensure that staff understand daily objectives and output requirements
  • Identify all issues in team and provide continuous support to all members according to operating standards on everyday basis. Monitor and control processes using visual observation and process data.
  • Develop, analyze and enhance manufacturing methods to assist production requirements.
  • Prepare work instructions, OPL's and Bills of Materials in MRP/SAP system.
  • Provide proper training to staff on their job duties.
  • Cooperate with Cell HPS & Reliability Engineers to develop standards and improve the effectiveness of the activities.
  • Analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance with production schedules and budget for all production processes.
  • Manage proper staffing level daily by checking sick leaves, forecast employee vacations and unanticipated absences. Expectations
  • Spend above 90% of his/her time on the floor.
  • Become a technical expert for a designated process. Qualify on all basic operating roles.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of Manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Position interacts with all levels in the organization from laboratory employees to legal, to corporate executives.
  • In addition, position will interact with external parties including government officials as required.
  • Capable of being self-managed, prioritizing work and often formulating deadlines for activities and projects.
  • Has solid knowledge in the use and features of the suite of Microsoft packages (especially Access and Excel).
  • Can work with integrated databases and generate neatly formatted numerical and graphical reports.
  • Can communicate (verbal and written) clearly, accurately and effectively in formal and informal settings.  
  • Knows how to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
  • Able to participate in team projects by contributing ideas that add value and completing team assignments. 
  • Remains organized while conducting various activities and coordinates own work efforts to stay on schedule.
  • Recognizes when projects are not meeting expectations and offers recommendations.
  • Can independently arrive at good solutions to simpler problems and works with others to solve more complex problems.
  • Makes well-informed decisions and recognizes the need for new or modified approaches.
  • Designs and complete basic quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate and display various types of information and data.
  • Reviews information for accuracy and completeness and draws accurate conclusions from data.

The salary for this role is $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
