Perfax

The history of the now well-known yellow Perfax Wallpaper paste packet begins in 1881 in Germany. In that year, a progressive craftsman invented an alternative for wall covering, which until then had been bonded with a mixture based on boiled rye- or barley flour.

In 1908 the man who would later become the owner of the Henkel subsidiary 'Sichel' invented the very first powdery wallpaper paste. This was a revolutionary product at the time and was patented on August 26 that year. This patent still forms the basis of the wallpaper paste as it is now being used worldwide. Its sales in the Benelux began over 85 years ago. Since that time, Perfax has continuously been optimizing wallpaper pastes and other decoration adhesives.
