About this position

What you´ll do

  • To manage all activities related to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) at Isogo site, while liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g., Site Manager, R&D team members, Regional Managers) and external stakeholders, including contractors as well as Henkel global, regional, and local SHE managers.
  • Depending on individual capability, the role may also support Asset Integrity and Reliability by ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and related rules.
  • In this scope, Asset Integrity primarily covers the Isogo site and may be extended to the Atsugi site depending on individual capability.
  • Main Tasks: Lead all SHE activities in R&D at the Isogo site, including chemical control, occupational safety, emergency response, sustainability activities, MOC, permit to work, risk assessment, incident sharing, incident investigation, site patrols, legal compliance, security, employee health monitoring, training, SHE Committee, and Integrated
  • Management System (IMS), while liaising with relevant stakeholders in alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Depending on individual capability, the role may also include responsibilities for Asset Integrity, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and related requirements.

What makes you a good fit

  • B.S. in Chemistry or other relevant scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry.
  • English reading and writing at a basic level; speaking skills are plus
  • Knowledge of machinery or electrical systems, as well as experience in maintenance or engineering, would be an advantage.
