About this position

What you´ll do

  • Responsible for the simulation of electronic adhesive material properties: Conduct simulation analysis on core indicators such as mechanical properties, thermal properties, and adhesive properties around electronic adhesive systems including epoxy resin, acrylate, silicone, and polyurethane. Establish material constitutive models to accurately predict the performance of materials under different environments.
  • Responsible for the simulation of electronic product application scenarios: For terminal application scenarios such as consumer electronics and semiconductors, build simulation models of electronic adhesives in application links such as smartphone cover glass bonding, chip bonding, underfill, potting and encapsulation. Simulate the product performance under working conditions such as drop, impact, high and low temperature, temperature cycling, and evaluate the impact of adhesives on the reliability of electronic products.
  • Simulation model optimization and verification: Combine experimental test data (such as tensile test, DMA, TMA, DSC, etc.) to calibrate, modify and optimize simulation model parameters to improve simulation accuracy.
  • Conduct comparative analysis of simulation results and experimental results, form verification reports, and provide data support for material formula optimization and product application scheme improvement.
  • Technical problem solving and scheme output: For technical pain points in material research and development and product application, locate the root cause of problems through simulation analysis and propose targeted optimization schemes (such as process improvement, structural optimization, etc.). Participate in cross-departmental technical collaboration and provide simulation technical support for R&D, production, sales and other teams.
  • Simulation system construction and document management: Assist in building and improving the company's electronic adhesive simulation technology system and formulate simulation specifications and processes.
  • Responsible for the writing, sorting and filing of technical documents such as simulation models, data, and analysis reports, and maintaining the simulation database.
  • Industry technology tracking and innovation: Continuously pay attention to the cutting-edge trends of simulation technology in the electronic adhesive field and promote the upgrading of the company's simulation technology capabilities.

What makes you a good fit

  • Qualification: Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer Materials and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline with 2 years or more work experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in any of the following industries: materials, consumer electronics, semiconductor packing, automotive, aerospace.
  • Alternative: PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer Materials and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline with a specialized focus on solid mechanics and FEA/material constitutive modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and constitutive modeling.
  • Experience in implicit and explicit Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Proficient in at least one mainstream FEA simulation software (such as ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, COMSOL, etc.).
  • Preferred experience in polymer testing and modeling, experience with calibration, verification, and validation of models through physical testing.
  • Proficiency in Python, scripting for FEA pre-/post-processing and Abaqus User Subroutines is a plus.
  • Additional advantages: hands-on experience with various testing methods, including Digital Image Correlation, Universal Testing Machines, and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis.
  • Comprehensive qualities: Strong ability in problem analysis and solving, logical thinking and innovation awareness; good communication and coordination skills and team spirit, able to efficiently promote cross-departmental collaborative projects; rigorous and meticulous in work, strong sense of responsibility, and strong self-drive and learning ability.
