About this Position

As a Project Engineer in the Infrastructure Department, you will play a key role in planning and delivering technical projects across Henkel sites, with a strong focus on Power‑to‑Heat technologies, electrification of thermal processes, and CO₂ reduction initiatives. You will work cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with Henkel’s sustainability roadmap.  

What you´ll do

  • Plan, execute, and manage Power‑to‑Heat and decarbonization projects from concept to commissioning within industrial infrastructure environments
  • Support the electrification of heat generation, including technologies such as heat pumps, electric boilers, thermal storage, and integration of renewable electricity
  • Lead and support general infrastructure and energy projects, including utilities, process heat, water and site energy systems
  • Prepare technical concepts, feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines, internal stakeholders (operations, HSE, procurement etc.), and external contractors or engineering partners
  • Ensure compliance with Henkel standards, local regulations, safety requirements, and sustainability goals
  • Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and report on milestones and KPIs
  • Preparing and tracking of project schedules, general project management in accordance with our standards and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across Henkel’s global infrastructure community
  • Working as part of the infrastructure engineering team to ensure the smooth development & handover of systems from conception to commissioning and into sustaining operations 

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Chemical, or comparable)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in project engineering or project management within industrial, energy or infrastructure environments
  • Solid understanding of thermal energy systems, utilities, or industrial energy supply
  • Previous experience in Power‑to‑Heat, electrification, and decarbonization technologies
  • Experience working with external contractors, suppliers, and engineering firms
  • Structured, collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional and international teams
  • Fluency in German is a must; Working proficiency of English is required
