What you´ll do

  • The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician utilizes mechanical and electrical knowledge with strong troubleshooting skills to partner with the organization for the purpose of ensuring plant equipment and facilities function operationally efficiently and maintains constant production mode to meet operational goals including Safety, Quality, Production, Cost and Delivery
  • Troubleshoot and perform professional electrical and mechanical repairs on process, packaging, utility, and 
    facility equipment to minimize downtime. 
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults using prints, schematics, and panel drawings to isolate root causes. 
  • Check and verify discrete and analog I/O signals at field devices and terminal points to differentiate electrical from 
    control-related issues. 
  • Diagnose VFD faults by interpreting fault codes, verifying wiring and connections, and replacing drives when 
    required. 
  • Read and interpret control panel wiring diagrams, one-lines, and I/O drawings to trace circuits and identify 
    failures. 
  • Perform electrical functions including disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and troubleshooting of panels, 
    switchgear, motors, VFDs, controllers, PLC hardware, instrumentation, and related components. 
  • Inspect and verify operation of field devices such as sensors, proxes, photoelectrics, and limit switches, replacing 
    faulty components as needed. 
  • Replace and perform basic commissioning of motors, contactors, overloads, and other motor-control components. 
  • Perform quality electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and peak 
    operating performance. 
  • Apply GMPs and proper cleaning and sanitization procedures when working on equipment or components that 
    may contact product or raw materials. 
  • Ensure all equipment safeguards meet company, state, and federal regulations. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CMMS records for all equipment and maintenance activities. 
  • Collaborate with team members across functional areas to resolve equipment issues and maintain operations. 
  • Communicate effectively with Automation Technicians when faults extend beyond hardware into PLC 
    programming or configuration, providing fault codes, observations, and completed wiring checks. 
  • Provide technical assistance to others and support electrical knowledge transfer and training within the team. 
  • Participate in identifying repeat problems, conducting systematic problem solving, determining true root causes, 
    and supporting long-term corrective actions. 
  • Use manuals, training resources, and internal policies to identify root causes and determine appropriate corrective 
    actions. 
  • Review equipment manuals regularly to maintain proficiency with operational equipment and maintenance 
    procedures. 
  • Keep maintenance and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety practices. 
  • Transport parts, materials, and equipment to or from company facilities as needed. 
  • Provide support as needed throughout the work shift based on operational demands. 
  • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and verbal communication, to support safe 
    and effective operations. 

What makes you a good fit

  • Associate degree in Automated Systems, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field; OR 3 years of previous applicable work experience.
  • Successfully complete the Electrical Maintenance Skills Assessment.
  • Complete or have completed all L4 Electrician training requirements.
  • Requires basic knowledge of Computer PLCs and DCS, Power Distribution, Motors & Drives, Digital and Analog Electronics, Schematics and Electrical Print Reading, Process Control, Test Instruments, and AC/DC Theory.
  • Experience drawing basic line-to-line diagrams and reading prints and schematics to troubleshoot circuitry issues is preferred.
  • Requires basic working knowledge of various types of packaging, process, utility, and facility equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of proper use of test equipment and tools, including, but not limited to, the following: Multimeters, ampmeters, knockout punch, drill, pipe bender (manual and power)
  • Working knowledge of fabrication techniques to create simple guards, brackets, fixtures, and components; ability to interpret sketches and written instructions; and ability to use rigging equipment for removal, installation, and transport.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills are required.
  • Ability to identify and safely use hand and power tools, and must understand safety precautions associated with both.
  • Ability provide own tools and toolbox. 
  • Ability to be able to climb ladders and stairs and work in all areas of the plant.
  • Ability to work overtime and holidays when necessary.
  • Ability to change shifts based on production demands and department needs.
  • Will be required to obtain Henkel forklift and aerial lift certification.
  • Functional knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical code standards is preferred.
  • Takes initiative to support operations by completing additional duties as assigned

The hourly pay range for this role is $28.00 and $39.00. This range reflects the good‑faith minimum and maximum hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to offer for this position at the time of posting.  This role is classified as non‑exempt, and employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. In addition to the hourly wage, employees in this position may be eligible for shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or other forms of compensation, depending on role and location. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, training, certifications, and work location.
