What you´ll do
- Develop products, processes, and application methods for surface treatment solutions along the entire metal coil value chain, aligned with business strategy and product development projects
- Evaluate new raw materials and assess their technical suitability within product formulations
- Support the introduction of newly developed products and processes at customer production facilities in close collaboration with application engineering and sales teams
- Contribute to the protection of intellectual property by preparing patents and technical publications
- Monitor market trends and emerging scientific and technical developments through literature reviews and patent research
- Build and share expertise by exchanging knowledge across interdisciplinary teams and presenting findings to international colleagues
- Collaborate closely within a global product development team and cross-functionally with sales, application engineering, production, marketing, and patent teams

What makes you a good fit
- Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory with technician certification, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or equivalent qualification in organic chemistry, polymer science, material chemistry or a related field
- 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in product development or application development is required
- Strong expertise in metal pretreatment technologies and/or lubricant formulations, ideally combined with know-how in polymers, adhesives, or related material systems; knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) is a plus
- Structured, proactive and curious mindset with strong ownership and problem-solving skills combined with Hands-on attitude and willingness to work in laboratory and pilot environments
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to support customer visits, product trials, and manufacturing processes
- Fluent English skills; German language skills are a plus
