What you´ll do

  • Territory will cover the western Canada region (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and Northwest territories) 
  • Travel up to 75%; preferred for candidate to reside within territory – no relocation allowance 
  • There may be occasional requirements to go outside this region. 
  • Position is tasked with increasing sales and market penetration in assigned geographic territory 
  • Develop customer relationships within assigned customers/territory, gaining an understanding of customer business requirements, and proactively developing solutions and programs to meet those needs 
  • Understanding decision making for valve technology and managing the bid process is critical 
  • Ability to work effectively with distributors, engineers and contractors installing valve solutions.
  • Requires an ability to communicate a value proposition which is highly technical and value-added
  • Requires a natural ability to connect and engage with key influencing personnel at the project level. 
  • Devise effective territory sales and implement marketing strategies
  • Leverage Henkel’s defined sales process to build accounts and utilize the company’s CRM system for maintenance and development of prospects, customers, opportunities, quotes, and sales activities. 

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or similar field preferred  
  • Must have effective communication skills and a winning, can-do, no-excuses-found-here, personality
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate Henkel value proposition to increase distribution system downtime, improved safety, and lower total cost of ownerships.  
  • Ability to gain access to key personnel in municipalities where no prior relationship is established.
  • Read and basic knowledge to interpret technical datasheets
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task as required to support multiple projects or business unit objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) 
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM tool
  • Must be able to work independently
  • The position requires a minimum of 75% travel within the territory to include overnights. Able to travel and/or work on the weekend, if necessary.
  • Valid CA driver's license is required.

The salary for this role is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
