About this Position

Support accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end closing, balance sheet control, tax administration, audit readiness, and finance projects. The role works closely with the Financial Controller and regional teams, turning accounting data into clear analysis and confidently presenting findings to stakeholders. 

What you´ll do

  • Perform month-end close activities, including cost-trend reviews, financial management reporting, travel and expense reporting, trial balance checks, foreign-exchange revaluation checks, and required correcting or reclassification entries.
  • Review sales recognition and goods-in-transit items; prepare supporting adjustments in line with the closing timetable.
  • Prepare and explain monthly and year-to-date variance analysis, including the underlying business drivers.
  • Maintain provision accounting: review entries, post releases or utilizations, reconcile balances, and present conclusions during balance sheet review meetings.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for provisions, payables, payroll-related accounts, VAT, and other assigned accounts; maintain evidence and complete confirmations in BlackLine.
  • Support Indonesian tax administration, including withholding tax reporting through Coretax, PPh 23 reconciliations, and distribution of withholding tax slips when required.
  • Prepare inventory and net working capital reporting and support related analysis.
  • Support external audit requests, organise evidence, and maintain timely submissions in the auditor collaboration portal.
  • Coordinate routine finance information with Human Resources, Controllers, shared services, banks, and regional teams, including bank statements and payroll general-ledger data.
  • Post and reconcile bonus provisions and payroll-related costs; communicate results and exceptions to Controllers.
  • Support finance improvement projects and user acceptance testing, including foreign-exchange exposure and generalledger account initiatives.
  • Maintain clear work instructions, strong document control, and timely follow-up of open items; escalate risks early.
  • Maintain proper project documentation and ensure knowledge transfer for business continuity

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a strong understanding of journal entries, accruals, provisions, trial balance, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements is essential.
  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant accounting, audit, or financial reporting experience; exceptional fresh graduates with strong internship experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Indonesian withholding tax and VAT processes, with the ability to learn company-specific systems quickly.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, SUMIF or SUMIFS, lookups, reconciliations, and structured data checks.
  • Professional English proficiency in speaking and writing, with the confidence to join regional meetings and prepare clear emails and presentations.
  • Experience with a Big Four accounting firm, especially in external audit; candidates from other reputable audit firms or strong corporate accounting roles should also be considered.
