  • The Business Development Manager (BDM) is critical to the success of our Asia-Pacific Industrial Adhesives Business Unit (BU).
  • Drive sales and influence others to drive the ACM Business Unit through strategic planning, targeted upskilling, and collaboration.
  • Set and execute the strategy in alignment with the General Manufacturing (GM) business direction team.
  • Lead, develop, and support regional and global strategies and development plans within key strategic market segments in line with business strategy and ensuring execution, for near, mid and long term.
  • Build strong customer relationships with key, industry leaders and identify and develop new customers within those industries.
  • Think critically to identify, define, and research market trends, competitive activity, and future development opportunities for the business.
  • Recognize new applications, NPIs and innovation opportunities in identified market segments and target customers to develop sales tools, processes, solutions.
  • Develop and foster internal relationships with strategic collaboration across multiple functional areas: Regional Leaders, Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management, Product Managers, Application Engineers, Innovation Managers, and relevant stakeholders on projects or initiative.


  • Degree in Business / Commerce / Engineering or equivalent. MBA is an added advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or Business development field.
  • Proven sales experience selling through B2B Industrial Sales.
  • Excellent project management, time management and communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize, organize, and execute deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, questioning, and presentation skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships, lead, and influence others to accomplish objectives.
  • Skilled with change management, negotiation, and ability to handle volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA).
  • Proficient computer and digital skills (Microsoft Office, CRMs, research platforms).
  • Experience in the Chemical industry is an advantage.
