YOUR ROLE

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead early stage of product design (i.e. ideation, concept design, detailed design) to translate global sustainability goals into actionable design strategies and products for/with our key customers
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative products with a focus on circularity, low-impact materials, and sustainable manufacturing processes
  • Drive the development and implementation of sustainable design standards and practices of our customers and within our organization
  • Conduct research on sustainable materials, manufacturing and recycling techniques, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions
  • Organize and facilitate design workshops with key customers and cross value chain partners
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, sustainability metrics, and industry trends
  • Lead sustainability initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design for sustainability methodology and process
  • Act as a sustainability advocate within our organization and beyond, promoting the benefits and importance of sustainable product design

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing products with a focus on sustainability and circular economy principles
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and fabrication techniques is a plus
  • Familiarity with certifications and standards related to sustainable product design (e.g., ESPR, right-to-repair, Cradle to Cradle, etc.) is desirable
  • Fluent English language skills
