This position is assigned to Shift 3 (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Alternating Sundays from 6:45PM to 7AM), with a potential for overtime.
What you´ll do
The Salt Lake City, UT Henkel manufacturing facility is looking for top talent to lead our facility to Best in Class performance levels and culture. We have a clear three-to-five-year journey laid out to build capability and deliver results using the processes of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS). The Shift Programmer is responsible to assist, create, and update both programs and graphics for new projects, as well as existing ones. This role works with the Engineering, Maintenance, and Production Department personnel throughout the process to ensure the accuracy of all PLC functions.
- Oversight and implementation of the MOC that impacts programming, sensors, and equipment set points.
- Provide leadership and facilitates root-cause on reactive downtime using programming to troubleshoot.
- When there isn't a broken part, laptops are used to troubleshoot why machines won't move/home.
- Support shift for pallet patterns, cameras, clarinets, PLCs, networks, and servers.
- Works with plant programmers to complete programming work orders, as assigned.
- Perform other related duties, as determined by management.
What makes you a good fit
- An associate degree in Programming or Automation Controls.
- Allen Bradley certificates are highly desirable.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Ladder Logic Programming.
- Skills in FactoryTalk is highly desired.
- Must understand basic troubleshooting using programing code.
- Must have 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, high-speed preferred.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Lean principles such as 5S, TPM, and Root-Cause Analysis is highly desired.
- Must have proficient to advanced-level computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have basic to intermediate-level math skills.
- Must be an independent worker that is able to work nights by themselves, as well as a team player.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide and receive feedback at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to pivot and adapt to changing priorities in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Must have good time-management and organizational skills.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Must have good problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 12 hours.

There is a $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The hourly range for this role is $43.00 - $48.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
