What you´ll do

  • Maintains the computerized maintenance inventory management system for all parts and supplies for the maintenance group. 
  • Applies for new IDH numbers as required, initiates MRP and creates purchase orders to replenish, locates goods within storage location This includes assisting engineering, and mechanics for all panned and unplanned tasks by ensuring parts are purchased and arrive in a timely manner.  
  • Responsible for working with maintenance staff and OEMs to identify and purchase spare parts and other equipment-related items. Including performing adjustments to inventory and ensure all inventory levels are at required levels, while working with finance, maintenance supervisor, and planner to acquire required parts, supplies, and tools. 
  • Analyzes parts usage history, inventory turns, stock out frequency, vendor lead times, reorder points, economic order quantity and safety stock levels to recommend the most effective inventory levels. 
  • Performs MRO purchasing function within maintenance department. Responsible for ordering non-inventory repair parts and consumable goods for the department. 
  • Issues spare parts, tooling and supplies to mechanics. 
  • Works closely with engineering, planning, maintenance, and production to ensure parts availability and replacement parts for all equipment, including obsolete parts and the use of outside vendors to machine new parts when required.
  • Responsible for managing all PO’s and parts requests for the maintenance department and may assist other departments with parts, tools, and other related purchases.
  • Performs monthly inventory counts throughout the tool room to ensure inventory is correct and accounted for in the system. 
  • Tracks the equipment list and updates equipment registry and equipment location moves from line to line and to/from stores
  • May perform other duties as required.

What makes you a good fit

  • 1 year minimum industrial/manufacturing Parts Room experience (2-3 years preferred) 
  • Experience building/maintaining a maintenance library for repairs preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office - Word and Excel
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work take responsibility and work independently

The salary for this role is $27.00 - $29.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
