What makes you a good fit
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., physics, mathematics, bioinformatics, (computer) science, computational finance); PhD is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a data science or advanced analytics environment in industry; experience in the chemical and consumer goods industry is a plus
- Strong technical background with excellent coding skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., SQL, Spark), cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure tool stack), and the use of collaboration technologies (e.g., version control, Scrum/Kanban boards, MLOps)
- Extensive experience in data preparation, modeling, analysis, and visualization, with expert-level hands-on knowledge in at least one data science area such as time-series analysis, supervised/unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, or optimization
- Strong business acumen and ability to closely collaborate with non-technical teams, with the capacity to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data science tasks combined with excellent skills in communicating results through data storytelling and visualization to a non-technical audience
- Fluency in English required; German language skills are a plus
