Fyfe is the leading manufacturer and designer of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) systems for strengthening concrete, masonry, steel, and wooden structures, in addition to buried pipelines. Fyfe was originally founded in 1988 to strengthen deficient bridge columns in California for seismic events using aerospace materials.  Today, Fyfe is recognized around the world as the pioneer of the FRP structural strengthening industry with over 40 patents in the field. In 2023, Fyfe was acquired by Henkel Corporation and today continues to serve the engineering and infrastructure community.

Fyfe manufactures and designs specialized carbon and glass fabrics combined with polymers for use in strengthening and rehabilitation projects. Fyfe focuses on designing these products for seismic and structural adaptive reuse and retrofit applications on school, hospital and commercial buildings and bridges.  The company is committed to providing quality technical support and professional, up-to-date solutions through continuous research and innovation, and through excellent engineering and technical support. 

What you'll do

  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the technical solutions offered by Fyfe’s Tyfo products (FRP strengthening materials) and services (design engineering). Review and understand bid documents on opportunities pursued in territory. Provide input into the design process, optimize pricing, and develop relationships to acquire and execute profitable orders.
  • Conduct meetings with customers including face to face meetings, technical presentations to structural engineering firms, attending industry meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain favorable business relationships with key accounts (structural engineers, general contractors and certified applicators).
  • Find, qualify and development of strengthening projects/opportunities.
  • Perform key account mapping to identify, develop, and grow business relationships.
  • Develop technical specifications that support product position, proper bidding requirements and ensures successful project completion.
  • Fully utilize company CRM (SalesForce) to provide accurate, funnel management, forecasting and resource allocation.

  • With the support of management, define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas.
  • Fully utilize company CRM (SalesForce) to maintain an accurate funnel in territory.
  • Generate market and competitor intelligence and perform market analysis to drive territory sales growth.
  • Remain current on sales performance and provide sales reports as required. Provide ongoing status reports to detail activity to include factored sales forecast, orders report, and backlog report.

What makes you a good fit

  • MUST have Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE accreditation highly desirable.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Consulting Engineer in structural engineering environment, or as a field engineer or outside sales representative for a specialty structural material.
  • A genuine interest in learning to sell and serving clients.
  • Trainable & coachable in professional selling techniques.
  • Client focused and strong structural engineering background.
  • Ability to work with presentation software.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Travel by automobile and airplane required.

The salary for this role is $85,000.00 - $110,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
