About this Position

As a Head of Digital Platforms and Standardization, you will lead the development, standardization, implementation, and scaling of IIoT technologies, data infrastructure, and digital platforms across manufacturing operations. You will ensure seamless integration between Center of Excellence (CoE) strategies and the varying digital maturity levels of factories, translating vision into measurable progress on key operational KPIs. Your leadership will be grounded in Agile mastery, enabling you to orchestrate transformation with speed, flexibility, and business alignment. 

What you´ll do

  • Translate business KPIs into actionable, scalable roadmaps tailored to the digital readiness of each factory
  • Serve as the interface between the CoE and local factory teams, ensuring that global solutions are locally viable and impactful
  • Embed CoE tools and playbooks into site-specific implementation strategies, ensuring alignment with performance KPIs
  • IIoT Systems & Infrastructure Deployment: Lead the architecture and rollout of IIoT solutions (edge, cloud, smart sensors), ensuring secure and high-performance integration across legacy and modern systems
  • Adopt and enforce industry-standard protocols and scalable infrastructure to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making
  • Agile Program Leadership (Agile Master): Act as Agile Master across multiple digital programs—driving Agile mindset, frameworks (e.g., Scrum@Scale), and iterative delivery models
  • Coach product owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders in Agile best practices; create velocity in complex industrial environments
  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, value stream mapping, and cross-team collaboration using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Miro
  • Govern program delivery with an Agile PMO approach—balancing agility with risk control, budget discipline, and strategic alignment. Factory Digital Maturity & KPI-Driven Deployment
  • Conduct maturity assessments and define digital adoption curves per site
  • Guide factories through transformation journeys using a stage-gated, KPI-focused approach
  • Track and communicate digital performance improvements tied to OEE, quality, sustainability, and workforce productivity.
  • Data Governance & Standardization: Lead enterprise-wide data architecture and governance efforts across OT/IT domains
  • Collaborate with data scientists

  • Industrial Communication Protocols: Proficiency in OPC UA, for seamless device and system integration
  • Edge & Cloud Computing: Experience with deploying and managing edge devices and integrating with cloud platforms like AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT
  • SCADA & MES Systems: (Basic) Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for real-time monitoring and control
  • API Management: Developing and managing APIs to facilitate communication between disparate systems and devices
  • Middleware Solutions: Implementing middleware for seamless integration of various applications and services within the IIoT ecosystem
  • Data Governance: Establishing data standards, quality metrics, and compliance protocols to ensure data integrity and security
  • Dashboard Development: Creating dashboards using tools like Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time
  • Modeling & Simulation Tools: Utilizing software like Siemens NX or ANSYS for creating digital replicas of physical assets to simulate and predict performance
  • Integration with IIoT: Linking digital twins with real-time data from IIoT devices for enhanced monitoring and decision-making (LinkedIn)
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards for information security and industrial communication networks
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to industry-specific regulations and standards to maintain operational excellence and legal compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across various departments and with international teams, fostering innovation and driving organizational growth
