About this Position

Henkel is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for key raw material categories. This role supports the development and execution of category strategies, manages supplier relationships, and ensures cost, risk, and sustainability objectives are met. You will act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders, driving end-to-end value creation in raw materials procurement.

What you´ll do

  • Support the Category Team Lead in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for materials that align with global business objectives.
  • Ensure all procurement activities and supplier decisions are fully documented with transparency and traceability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance to embed cost optimization and value generation in sourcing strategies.
  • Manage own spending and procurement projects independently, delivering savings and performance in line with annual and long-term targets.
  • Document and maintain accurate supplier records and rationale for decisions in accordance with Henkel’s governance and compliance standards.
  • Build and maintain category knowledge by tracking industry trends, supplier capabilities, and value chain developments.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for assigned categories and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity.
  • Define and manage a high-performing, sustainable supplier portfolio, aligned with quality, cost, and innovation goals.
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, negotiations, contracting, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Promote efficient sourcing practices through digital procurement tools and full delegation of operational tasks to Shared Service Centers.
  • Facilitate cross-category collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Procurement community.
  • Track and report procurement KPIs and ensure accuracy and timeliness of data to support performance reviews.

What makes you a good fit

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Business, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of procurement experience, particularly in sourcing raw materials and chemical ingredients.
  • Experience in the inorganics category (e.g., soda ash, sodium sulfate) is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in supplier management, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of raw material markets, supply dynamics, and cost structures in industrial or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project management capabilities, with excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of risk management, supply resilience, and sustainability in procurement.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and Excel, with strong data management and analytical skills.
