What you´ll do

  • Manage execution within ESE APAC of global Metal strategy, including driving milestones for each key initiative such Sustainability Leadership, driving non-chrome and tri-chrome solutions / portfolio, grow aluminium market share, driving water and energy saving project with key customers, synergy between Metals & Adhesives, drive scaling, leverage from success (& lessoned learned) from peers and other regions/countries. 
  • Develop and maintain key contacts at existing and prospective customers (R&D, Innovation, etc.), as well as key partners in value chain (Paint Companies, equipment suppliers etc).
  • Leading/driving regional strategies and development plans for key strategic initiatives in line with
    business unit plans and ensuring execution, for near, mid and long term.
  • Drive & maintain the Metals ESE roadmap, adding/adjusting to keep up-to-date
  • Work with sales team to enter ACE projects based on roadmap, work with sales engineers and
    account managers to keep projects up-to-date
  • Assist sales team in identifying new opportunities, assessing ability to win and opportunity
    attractiveness & helping to cultivate leads
  • Responsible for ADP pipeline (putting new project requests in based on VOC, making
    recommendations on existing projects, owning business cases)
  • Make recommendations on Metals product portfolio (complexity reduction, etc.)
  • Liaison with other regions to understand what projects can be leveraged cross regionally
  • Understand market dynamics / trends through VOC and research
  • Engagement in relevant industry associations and trade shows, and identifying other relevant
    tradeshows & associations Henkel should be involved with
  • Work with Application Engineering on any benchmark testing needed by commercial team
  • Work with MCA (Market and Customer Activation) team on sales support material (PPT presentations for customer meetings, sell sheets, collateral for trade shows, etc.)
  • Involved in top customer review meetings with sales and account management
  • Involved in Key Account Plan preparation and review
  • Work with Equipment Engineer to ensure we are meeting customer needs with our equipment offering

What makes you a good fit

  • Degree in Business / Commerce / Engineering or equivalent. MBA will be an added advantage
  • Possess at least 8-10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing or Business development field
  • Prior Experience in Project Management / Business Analytics a plus
  • Ability to prioritize/organize workload. Excellent communication and presentation skill
  • Ability to build strong relationships and lead and influence to accomplish objectives through others
  • Experience from the Chemical industry and/or metal industry an advantage
  • Change agent and team player
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Project Management tools
