About this Position

Maintain the existing SHE management system in compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001:2015, while monitoring adherence to legal requirements and the Henkel SHE management framework.

Lead and coordinate efforts across departments to promote SHE initiatives and enhance employee wellness. This role ensures that compliant, efficient, effective, and sustainable programs are implemented year-round, while also developing subordinates to align with the company’s objectives. 

What you´ll do

  • Achieve zero accidents, injuries, and exposures.
  • Implement effective crisis management strategies.
  • Provide SHE training for employees.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with permit-to-work and LOTOTO procedures.
  • Conduct internal monthly SHE audits, including site SHE audits and focused compliance audits.
  • Perform risk assessments, safety analyses, process safety evaluations, and occupational safety training, including SOPs and operational training.
  • Manage changes, incident reports, investigations, near misses, first aid protocols, and emergency drills.
  • Follow up on all action items and manage SHE projects, executing studies and facilitating SHE committee meetings to promote SHE initiatives.
  • Conduct exposure and hygiene monitoring.
  • Focus on environmental sustainability.
  • Integrate SHE practices within 3PM and 3PL operations.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in SHE roles at chemical manufacturing plants (paint, adhesive, oil & gas … or chemical industry), including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in conducting internal SHE and compliance audits, as well as risk assessment.
  • Good English communication skills
