We are looking for an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to join our Finance Department. This is a key role for a tax professional who is ready to optimize tax processes, ensure full compliance with Ukrainian and International regulations, and actively contribute to major business decisions with tax impact. 

What you´ll do

  • Contract Management and Business Support (30% of scope):
  • Review and validate local and intercompany contracts, ensuring proper application of tax rules, best practices, and consultants’ recommendations;
  • Provide consultations to business functions and other departments on various tax issues, offering risk-oriented options for business initiatives;
  • Support the business during contract negotiations with customers and suppliers;
  • Facilitate various business activities (e.g., marketing events, incentive programs for customers and employees) from a tax perspective, in close cooperation with the legal department.
  • Control for Financial, Tax, and Corporate Reporting (25% of scope): 
  • Control for preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (F1, F2, F3, F4, F5), iXBRL taxonomy, preparation and filling of income tax declarations;
  • Prepare annual transfer pricing reports and documentation with support from a BIG4 firm;
  • Prepare corporate tax reports, including the Tax Workbook (Deferred taxes and Effective Tax Rate calculations), tax risk reports, and non-tax deductible reports;
  • Monitoring and control over the timely preparation and filing of other tax and statistical reports of the main company and branches (e.g., VAT, pollution, transport).
  • People Management and Tax Team Activities (25% of scope):
  • Lead and manage the local tax team, branches teams, continuously improving quality and cultivating strong business partnerships;
  • Communicate with shared service centers in Bratislava and Manila, as well as regional and corporate tax offices;
  • Implement new tax initiatives from the corporate tax office and share best practices.
  • Coordination of Tax Authority Audits and Auditor Requests (10% of scope): 
  • Provide answers and explanations for internal auditor requests (BIG4), tax authority letters, and queries from other state bodies;
  • Facilitate the collection of supporting documents and provide them to respective state bodies;
  • Correspond with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely responses to their letters and safeguarding the company's tax positions;
  • Other Corporate and Tax Activities (10% of scope):
  • Conduct monthly closing activities in SAP;
  • Support various business projects from tax perspective;
  • Create and maintain tax policies, procedures, and guidelines for accounting and tax departments, as well as other functions;
  • Offer training and seminars for business and other functions on tax matters;
  • Enhance personal professional and soft skills through training, webinars, and courses;
  • Perform other ad-hoc activities.

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit, or Taxation (professional certificates are desirable).
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working in a multinational company is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of the English language at an intermediate level.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Business-oriented attitude and a lifelong learning mindset.
