We are seeking a Digital Innovation Engineer to lead global digital transformation initiatives, drive digital value realization, and champion data quality excellence across Henkel Adhesives. This role will play a key part in delivering transformational changes that enhance the impact and efficiency of Henkel’s global innovation organization across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs). 

What you´ll do

  • Strategic Change Management Leadership:
    - Develop, execute, and refine comprehensive, SBU-specific change management strategies to support the implementation of SBU digital roadmap.
    - Secure leadership buy-in, engage stakeholders (Technician to Executives), manage resistance, and foster sustained adoption.
    - Drive accountability and ownership for high-quality data input and maintenance across SBUs.
  • Targeted Communication & Capability Building:
    - Design and deliver clear, compelling, multi-channel communication plans (Newsletters, SharePoint, release notes, FAQs, leadership briefings) tailored to diverse SBU audiences throughout the change lifecycle.
    - Design, coordinate, and oversee role-specific and SBU-customized training programs to build digital proficiency and ensure effective tool utilization before, during, and after deployments.
  • Scalable Deployment & User Support:
    - Oversee the planning and execution framework for scalable digital tool deployments across global R&D sites.
    - Partner with Digital product team and IT teams to resolve issues, optimize user experience, and ensure seamless integration.
  • Digital KPI Management & Value Optimization:
    - Define, track, analyze, and report on key adoption, engagement, retention, and business impact metrics across SBUs and locations.
    - Aggregate and prioritize user feedback from all SBUs, translating it into actionable insights for product teams and communicating roadmap updates effectively.
    - Identify and champion opportunities to leverage digital tools for enhanced R&D productivity, innovation speed, and end-customer value.
  • Data Quality Management & Process Transformation:
    - Proactively conduct data analysis, cleaning, merging, and standardization efforts across SBUs to resolve critical quality issues and establish a reliable foundation for analytics.
    - Redesign and adapt core R&D workflows to fully leverage digital laboratory capabilities and embed data quality best practices.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, Business/Management, Data Science).
  • 1-3 years of proven experience leading and executing organizational change management initiatives, preferably for technology/digital transformations in matrixed environments. Familiarity with methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills (English fluency), with a demonstrated ability to build trust and drive consensus across diverse global teams and multiple SBUs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen to align digital initiatives with SBU priorities and organizational goals.
  • Solid analytical skills with experience in data assessment, cleaning techniques, and standardization.
  • Passion for digital transformation, agility with new technologies (web apps, data analytics), and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Nice to Haves:
    - Experience in an R&D/lab environment.
    - Formal Change Management certification.
    - Data science knowledge or advanced data manipulation skills (SQL, python, etc.).
    - Experience with R&D software (ELN, LIMS).
    - Fluency in Mandarin or German.
