What you´ll do

  •  The Materials Operator is responsible for all material handling activities within the plant, including inbound receiving of raw materials (standard and bulk tank trucks), outbound shipment picking and staging, and accurate SAP system transactions.
  • This role supports the site’s 5S program and Perpetual Inventory count process to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient materials flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inbound Receiving 

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials and finished goods returns. 
  • Operate bulk receiving station to unload incoming tankers of raw material safely and efficiently.
  • Perform put-away transactions in SAP/LOGOS to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Verify COAs and documentation for compliance with quality standards. Outbound Shipping
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage customer shipments according to domestic and international regulations. 
  • Ensure proper documentation for all shipments (commercial invoice, shipper’s letter of instructions, hazardous declarations, etc.).
  • Calculate pallet weights and verify load patterns to minimize shortages and ensure safe transport.

System Transactions

  • Perform goods receipts, print labels, and finalize paperwork in SAP/LOGOS.
  • Communicate with planners, customer service, and schedulers to ensure timely order fulfillment. Inventory & Housekeeping 
  • Participate in cycle counts and support the Perpetual Inventory program.
  • Maintain work area in compliance with 5S standards (clean, organized, and audit-ready).
  • Support Smart Factory initiatives (digital transactions, scanning, etc.). Compliance 
  • Follow all Henkel policies for hazardous material handling and DOT regulations. 
  • Ensure adherence to shelf-life and international picking requirements.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Materials Manager or Plant Manager.

What makes you a good fit

  • High school diploma or GED; must pass Henkel’s basic skills assessment. 
  • Minimum 2 years in shipping/receiving; forklift experience required. 
  • DOT certification and forklift certification (Henkel-provided). 
  • SAP/LOGOS proficiency, basic math, multitasking ability.
  • Walk/stand 90% of shift; lift up to 50 lbs; operate high-lift truck. 
  • Be willing to train and drive a switcher truck (Henkel-provided).

Physical Requirements: 

  • Walk/Stand approximately 90% of the time. 
  • Must be able to control hand-levers on both sides and use control pedals. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

The salary for this role is $18.00 - $19.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
