About this Position

  • Take full responsibility for the entire lifecycle of the projects in Dragon Site.
  • Act as construction manager for department growth ambitions.
  • Act as gate keeper of Structure & Civil discipline drawing & document review. 

What you´ll do

  • Take full responsibility in terms of the entire lifecycle of the projects in Dragon Site.
    - To define the project requirement & scope, deliverables, and objectives in line with the Henkel Engineering Management Procedure.
    - Lead the feasibility study, PRA, validation process and front-end engineering design.
    - Work together with the internal stakeholders, manage the expectation and work out the engineering solution.
    - Management of the out-sourced parties.
    - Complete other tasks assigned by the superior.
  • Act as construction manager for department growth ambitions.
    - Lead and coordinate cross-functional parties, including internal workstream, government and vendors to ensure successful implementation of construction work for projects.
    - Manage and supervise construction vendors to ensure the fulfillment and success of construction work as per MEI contract or procurement order.
    - Ensure construction work is executed as per Henkel’s requirements in terms of SHE, PTW and project management procedures.
    - Support trial operation, mass production and submission of as built documents.
    - Participate in the formulation of projects construction contract terms and payment plan. Ensure the cost is well controlled and change management being conducted in accordance with the Henkel policy. Review  project budgets and final accounts.
    - Support on the related permitting work.
    - Material acceptance management procedure assurance as per requirements of engineering documents and drawings.
    - To develop Hold Point inspection plan and assure the completion of the procedure.
    - To review and audit construction execution plan and construction schedule developed by vendors. To ensure correct construction methodology is applied prior to the work.
    - Construction process control with the document requirement to vendors such as daily report, weekly report, SHQE records, personnel training records and so on.
    - Complete other tasks assigned by the superior.
  • Act as Structure & Civil senior engineer for department growth ambitions.
    - Provide professional support on projects to assure the requirement of codes and standards are satisfied.
    - Review & audit S&C engineering drawings developed by Design Institute.
    - Review & audit the steel structure detailed drawings developed by structure manufacturers.
    - Provide technical solutions to S&C cases.
    - Responsible for the preparation and management of relevant company technical standards.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor degree with major in structure or civil engineering.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in construction management in chemical industry. Background with design and engineering experience would be preferred.
  • Strong communication skills across different levels of team are required.
  • Familiar with national and international standards such as ASTM, GB, ASME.
  • Proficient in various professional software such as AutoCAD, P6, PKPM.
  • Registered structural engineer qualification or First class constructor certificate is preferred.
  • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.
