About this Position

  • Development of Public Affairs strategies and programs in alignment with BU/FU priorities on local scale
  • Aligning Public Affairs plans and activities with regional and national colleagues working for Public Affairs in key/strategic countries
  • Provides consultancy and support for Top-Management on geopolitical developments
  • Supports CEO on all "external affairs" topics (meetings with national & global associations, political decision takers etc.)
  • Management of BU/FU demand, incl. identification and alignment of politically topics, budget, internal & external resources/FTE etc.
  • Cooperate/network across all internal interfaces with respect to relevant projects, e.g. M&A, restructuring, trade issues, sanctions etc
  • Regular alignment within Public Affairs, CC & Sustainability as well as with BU/Functions on overarching issues
  • Manages external agencies/consultants directly
  • Identifies and implements best practice ensuring compliance rules in Public Affairs
  • Contributes as member of the CorpCom team in Mexico to ensure aligment
  • Identifies and purposefully manage locally a Public Affairs relevant network
  • Strengthens and shape Henkel's reputation with political/regulatory stakeholder groups in Mexico
  • Responsible for all topics with a political/regulatory dimension & point of contact for Top Managment & Operation Managers

What makes you a good fit

  • Experience in industrial, chemical and or consumer business (8-10 years), preferably in an international environment in Mexico
  • University degree such as MBA, master in Political Science, Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proven track records to drive execution on strategic projects
  • Empathetic team player who at the same time is able to work independently and within internal or external networks
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Willingness to travel within relevants locations in Mexico
