What you´ll do
- Generate and qualify leads for subsequent development. This includes providing technical presentations to structural engineering firms, conducting face to face meetings, and attending industry meetings and conferences.
- Manage the business development effort. With the support of management, define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas.
- Collaborate with internal engineering team and external clients to develop innovative strengthening and repair solutions.
- Perform key account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities in support of business plan and strategic objectives. Maintain favorable business relationships with key accounts (structural engineers, general contractors and certified applicators).
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the technical solutions offered by Fyfe’s Tyfo products and services. Conduct sales calls and make product / service presentations to meet customer needs.
- Review and understand bid documents on opportunities pursued in territory. Provide input into the design process, optimize pricing, and develop relationships to acquire and execute profitable orders.
- Fully utilize company CRM (SalesForce) to provide accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
- Generate market and competitor intelligence and perform market analysis to drive territory sales growth.
- Develop technical specifications that support product position, proper bidding requirements and ensures successful project completion.
- Spearhead management of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction. Ensure prompt investigation of client concerns and provide problem resolutions or referral to appropriate personnel.
- Remain current on sales performance and provide sales reports as required. Provide ongoing status reports to detail activity to include factored sales forecast, orders report, and backlog report.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE accreditation highly desirable.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Consulting Engineer in structural engineering environment.
- A genuine interest in learning to sell and serving clients. Competitive and achievement oriented. Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Trainable & coachable in professional selling techniques.
- Client focused and strong structural engineering background.
- Ability to work with presentation software.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
- Ability to travel up to 50% by automobile and airplane required.

The salary range for this role is $120,000.00 and $155,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
