About this Position

Henkel Adhesives is on the lookout for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team and support the safe, efficient production of high-quality water-based adhesives. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate production equipment including mixing, filling and washing equipment, handle chemicals and raw materials, operate a forklift, and assist with warehouse and dispatch activities as required. You’ll help maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with the Adhesives Team Leader and Production Supervisor to achieve production targets. A strong commitment to safety, environmental standards and teamwork is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting operational performance. 

What you´ll do

  • Operate production equipment, including filling, mixing and washing equipment, to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Safely handle chemicals, raw materials and finished products, including operating a forklift and assisting with raw material staging.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation across production, factory and warehouse areas.
    Assist with stock movement and distribution throughout the factory and warehouse, including dispatch activities as required.
  • Organise work areas to support safe, efficient workflows and maintain 5S standards.
  • Work closely with the Adhesives Team Leader and Production Supervisor to achieve production targets and support operational improvements.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment while supporting Henkel SHE, environmental and HPS standards and initiatives.
  • Perform minor maintenance activities and other operational tasks as required, with a strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.

What makes you a good fit

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in chemical handling or a similar manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Current forklift licence and relevant chemical handling and dangerous goods certifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to support across production and warehouse operations as required.
  • Good mechanical understanding with the ability to work effectively and communicate with a diverse range of people.
