About this Position
We are looking for a Field Application Engineering Technician to provide technical support and develop product applications for customers in the Metal Packaging industry, particularly in Two-Piece Aluminum Cans.
This role combines customer interaction, technical problem-solving, product demonstrations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve customer processes and drive innovation.
What you´ll do
- Recommend products and develop customized applications based on customer needs.
- Conduct technical visits, product demonstrations, audits, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Support laboratory testing, product qualification, and technical analysis.
- Provide technical training to customers and field sales teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Innovation teams.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices across business units.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Metal Packaging, particularly Two-Piece Aluminum Cans.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing, product applications, and customer technical support.
- Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Metal Packaging D&I and washer processes is a plus.
- English and Spanish are highly desirable.
