Acknowledging innovative solutions that make an impact 

Henkel Consumer Brand rewards suppliers for outstanding contributions 

Henkel’s business unit Henkel Consumer Brands recognized its top suppliers for their industry-leading performance in 2024 with an award ceremony. The event took place at the American Cleaning Institute Convention in Orlando, Florida, on 27 January with more than 200 participants. The top partners were awarded in three categories: Moeve and Unger were honored with the “Sustainability Award”. Takasago, Novonesis and Wacker received each a “Best Innovation Contributor Award”. The winner of the “Supply Resilience Award” was Givaudan. Philipp Schaffer, Senior Vice President Henkel Consumer Brands North America, and Sebastian Schauten, Head of Procurement Henkel Consumer Brands, welcomed the representatives of more than 30 major suppliers of Henkel.

Strong progress to circular economy and climate protection

Henkel launched almost 700 million bottles made of 100% recycled plastics to the market in Europe

Henkel is reaching a milestone in its engagement for sustainable packaging: The company used almost 700 million bottles made of 100 percent recycled plastics for Laundry & Home Care products in Europe – more than 400 million alone in 2020. The recycled material stems from post-consumer waste, including Social Plastic® from Henkel’s partnership with the Plastic Bank. By increasing the number of packaging made of recycled material, Henkel does not only contribute to a circular economy but also to climate protection: Recycled PET has an almost 80 percent lower CO2 footprint compared to virgin plastic.

Henkel rewards suppliers for outstanding contributions

For the 14th time, Henkel recognized its top suppliers for their industry-leading performance in 2020. The event took place on January 25 – for the first time fully virtually – with more than 300 registered participants. The partners were awarded in five categories. Evonik was honored with the “Sustainability Award” by Henkel Beauty Care. Stepan received the “Sustainability Award” by Laundry & Home Care. Innospec was awarded as “Best Innovation Contributor” by Beauty Care while Laundry & Home Care honored Novozymes in this category. The winner of the “Best Supply Performance” was BASF.

Henkel continues on growth path with strong sales increase in third quarter

  • Group sales grow organically by +3.5% to around 5.1 billion euros, nominal +1.9%:
    • Adhesive Technologies achieves very strong organic sales growth of +7.0%, nominal +7.1%
    • Beauty Care records negative organic sales development of -3.0%, nominal -6.5%
    • Laundry & Home Care achieves good organic sales growth of +2.0%, nominal -0.8%
  • Organic sales development mainly driven by emerging markets
  • Henkel well above pre-crisis level: organic sales growth of +7.5% versus Q3 2019 corresponds to an average annual growth of +3.7%
  • Outlook for fiscal 2021 updated: Sales guidance confirmed, earnings expectations at lower end of previous guidance ranges
