About this position
What you´ll do
- Execute new packaging development projects, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements.
- Define and manage project budgets to achieve planned objectives and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Henkel’s corporate Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards, policies, and procedures.
- Drive packaging sustainability initiatives and contribute to the achievement of circular economy targets.
- Support cross-functional teams in developing and implementing new packaging technologies and innovations.
- Ensure all new packaging solutions comply with international recycling, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with emerging packaging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Support the protection of innovative packaging developments and technologies through patents and intellectual property initiatives.
- Engage with consumers through various platforms to gather insights and translate feedback into innovative packaging solutions
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to develop and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, including plastics, polymers, paper, and sustainable packaging alternatives.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing standards, packaging performance evaluation, and quality control procedures.
- Experience in laboratory equipment handling, testing procedures, and equipment management.
- Understanding of packaging development processes, material selection, and manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles, recyclability, and circular economy practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Eagerness to learn, innovate, and contribute to the development of new packaging solutions.
