What you’ll do
As a R&D Engineering Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in formulation development and performance testing within a laboratory environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and testing product coating formulations to meet customer and performance requirements.
- Conducting experiments and performing technical procedures to support new and existing product development.
- Planning and executing tests to ensure formulations meet critical-to-quality (CTQ) standards.
- Gathering and analyzing ideas from the internal R&D team to enhance product functionality.
- Evaluating test results and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align product development with customer needs.
What makes you a good fit
- A current junior or current senior pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Ability to analyze structured data to identify patterns and trends in material behavior
- Skilled in developing structure–property relationships to guide the design of next-generation materials
- Strong foundation in materials science, data interpretation, and experimental analysis

- This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
- The anticipated start date for this internship is July 13, 2026, and the anticipated end date is December 11, 2026.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
