What you´ll do
•Lead the Engineering and maintenance function for the company’s operational assets - ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Define and implement a maintenance strategy with pre-determined budgets.
• Together with the PM, define CAPEX project strategy to meet future business requirements.
• Process owner for all maintenance and engineering procedures, ensuring regulatory and audit compliance.
•Responsible for design and installation of assets for use both within and outside of Hazardous Areas from both mechanical and electrical perspective.
•Legionella Responsible Persons hot & cold water systems
• Responsible for maintenance and engineering performance - monitored through applicable KPIs as to asset integrity / reliability and budget delivery.
• Work in conjunction with the SHEQ supervisor, providing technical support and technical capability in the implementation of the company’s COMAH improvement plan and promoting a positive SHEQ business culture.
• Advise as necessary on Process Safety Management, Environmental and Security issues.
• Ensure all site activities are controlled using suitable management systems and are compliant with COMAH regulations, such as MOC, HAZOP/HAZID, LOPA and other quantitative or qualitative risk assessment techniques.
• Lead on emergency response issues, with focus on scenario setting and training. Working with local Blue Light agencies along with national security and resilience agencies.
What makes you a good fit
•Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
•5+ years’ relevant experience in a COMAH/chemical or process manufacturing environment.
•Proven track record managing E&I maintenance and projects, including budget responsibility.
•Strong working knowledge of UK electrical regulations, functional safety, and industrial control systems.
•Experience with permit-to-work systems, contractor management, and site safety leadership.
•Familiarity with CMMS and engineering drawing tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
•Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
