What attracted you to CHAiNGERS Operations & Supply Chain Trainee Program?

The program structure and the company. The 3 phases over the 18 months give a really holistic view of the organization and allow lots of learning. The other thing was Henkel’s culture. The focus on collaboration and giving people the opportunity to act as entrepreneurs really resonates with me. Henkel also has a very big product portfolio that has really high impact applications. This makes the work very interesting!

What do you appreciate the most about being part of the CHAiNGERS Trainee Program?

The amount of effort and trust the organization is putting into the trainees is absolutely amazing. The senior management really takes time out to interact with us and actually takes our ideas seriously. We are getting the opportunity to work on some very important strategic projects. The overall environment in the company as well as among the trainees is very supportive. I really feel that the organisation wants to help me develop myself and find my path.

What would be an advice you would give young graduates starting at Henkel?

Be curious and try to learn as much as possible. People at Henkel are always happy to help and answer questions, take advantage of that! As you go through the program, reflect on your experiences, what you liked what you didn’t like. If you feel like you want to do something differently, don’t hesitate to ask for it.

It is part of the program to take over a Lean Six Sigma project. What do you get to experience during this time?

You get to do a deep-dive into production and really understand from an operational, engineering and chemical perspective how Henkel products are manufactured. You also get to learn really effective tools as part of the six sigma training that will be useful for life. You get to experience leadership and understand.
