About this Position

Application Engineer Manager is responsible for leading the APC (Consumer Goods) Indonesia Application Engineering team and providing crucial technical support to customers. This includes delivering product recommendations, customized solutions, and troubleshooting, while also leveraging application equipment to enhance customer processes and identify new business opportunities. The role also involves providing technical training and effectively communicating with various internal teams.

What you´ll do

  • Responsible for managing APC Indonesia Application Engineering team.
  • Responsible for product recommendations, customized products applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers.
  • Perform technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, troubleshooting, etc.) for customers with documentation in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool and the LIM (Laboratory Information Management) system.
  • Work with application equipment to provide solutions to enhance customer related processes.
  • Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues
  • Responsible for products application / technical training and coaching of field sales forces and customers.
  • Responsible for directly communicating with sales, marketing, product development, innovation, members of the Application Engineer field team or project team members.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience managing technical team, preferably in the adhesive industry.
  • Familiar with application in consumer good business such as Footwear & Sport Fashion, personal hygiene, as well as packaging and labelling.
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to support up to 20-80% travel per year.
