What you’ll do
Get hands on experience contributing to the New Product Development Lifecycle within care and color products on the Joico team.
- Gain hands-on experience contributing to the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from concept to execution.
- Shadow project leaders on select Joico brand initiatives, acting as a second set of eyes to support project management and execution.
- Conduct competitive assessments for key categories such as lighteners and fashion shades, identifying market gaps and opportunities.
- Research consumer trends and sentiment around product and ingredient innovations to inform future product strategies.
- Attend weekly core team meetings and select cross-functional sessions to build executive presence and understand the full NPD Marketing process.
- Participate in product concepting and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for product naming, fragrance & benefits (F&B), claims ideation, and innovation opportunities for Joico.
What makes you a good fit
- A first or second year MBA student with an emphasis in Marketing or Communications
- Ability to gather and analyze large data sets and develop fact-based recommendations
- Interest in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and writing skills for product concept development
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow

Additional information
- This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
- The anticipated start date for this internship is January 12, 2026 and the anticipated end date is May 8, 2026.
- This position requires you be available to work ~20 hours/week.
- Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $37/hour. This is the rate that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
